Bringing Aboriginal Culture Into Sydney Workplaces All Year Round
Many Sydney organisations are now planning Aboriginal cultural engagement throughout the year, rather than limiting learning to one awareness week or calendar date.
NAIDOC Week, Reconciliation Week, National Sorry Day, Harmony Week, staff conferences, leadership days, wellbeing programs, RAP actions, university orientation weeks, and community events all provide opportunities to create meaningful cultural learning in the workplace.
Our Sydney programs help organisations move beyond symbolic acknowledgement by creating genuine opportunities for staff, students, clients, and communities to learn directly from Aboriginal facilitators, artists, performers, and cultural educators.
Significant Dates in Sydney and NSW
Sydney and NSW hold many important dates for truth-telling, recognition and cultural learning, including 26 January, National Sorry Day, Reconciliation Week, Mabo Day and NAIDOC Week. On Gadigal Country and across New South Wales, these moments invite schools, workplaces and communities to pause, listen, honour Elders, and build stronger connections with First Nations peoples.

Sydney Harbour, Parramatta River and the Blue Mountains
Sydney’s Aboriginal cultural landscape is deeply connected to waterways, coastlines, rivers, bushland, and meeting places. From Sydney Harbour and coastal Country to the Parramatta River, Western Sydney, and the Blue Mountains, Aboriginal people have maintained connection to Country, story, language, culture, and community for thousands of generations.
For workplaces and organisations, understanding Sydney as Aboriginal Country helps shift cultural learning beyond a formal presentation. It places cultural awareness in a living local context, helping participants understand that Aboriginal culture is not separate from modern Sydney, it is part of the city’s identity, history, and future.
Our Sydney workshops help teams engage with this living cultural context through Aboriginal-led storytelling, art, performance, ceremony, conversation, and practical learning.
Greater Sydney Service Area
Greater Sydney is home to a rich and diverse Aboriginal cultural landscape, spanning the lands of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Dharug people of Western Sydney, and neighbouring Nations across the region.

Dharug Country (Western Sydney)
