Cultural Learning on Kaurna Country

Adelaide is located on the traditional Country of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. Across the city, Kaurna place names and cultural recognition are visible in important public places, including Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga and River Torrens / Karrawirra Parri.

For Adelaide schools and organisations, Aboriginal cultural learning should not feel generic. It should help participants understand that they are learning on Country, in a place with living cultural meaning, continuing Aboriginal connection and local protocols that deserve respect.

Our Adelaide programs support learning around Aboriginal cultures, histories, storytelling, art, symbols, connection to Country, cultural protocols and contemporary Aboriginal perspectives in a way that is engaging, accessible and culturally safe.
